Those discerning clients have been known to budget and allot time for a custom photography session. Many clients opt for a once-a-year special experience and others opt to record significant stages in their child’s life. Other families save up to be able to splurge every few years to memorialize their children as they really are.
There is a great deal of time involved in creating high end custom photography sessions for a client. Starting with the initial consultations via email; clients receive advice in planning a wardrobe and choosing a location (both of which help set the tone and style of the personalized session.) During the 1-2 hour session, I help children (and husbands) relax and reveal their true self. After the session, every image will be scrutinized and the best 20-35 images will be fully edited for contrast and rich color tones. Finally, clients have the opportunity to choose images for prints or other high-end art products. I invest about 8-10 hours (or more) in every portrait session from original consult to ordering and delivery of prints.
Every print or product is created by the highest level of professional print labs. Custom photography clients often choose large size custom-framed prints or gallery-wrapped canvases to use as artwork in their home.
